About:

Alexandria (Alyx) Resnick is a Licensed Acupuncturist who specializes in pain management, Sports injuries, degenerative diseases, and nervous system imbalances (such as peripheral neuropathy, restless leg syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, etc). She also has experience with treating digestive disorders, anxiety/depression, headaches/migraines, and autoimmune imbalances such as long covid, lyme’s disease, and fibromyalgia. Alyx has been practicing acupuncture since 2017 in the capital district region of NY.

Prior to practicing in Upstate NY, Alyx attended Tri-state College of Acupuncture in Manhattan, where she earned  her Masters of Science in Acupuncture Degree in 2017. While attending Tri-state College of Acupuncture, she received training in three styles of Acupuncture:  Acupuncture Physical medicine (trigger point therapy), Traditional Chinese medicine, and Japanese Acupuncture (Kiiko Matsumoto style). Each person responds differently to acupuncture so practicing three separate styles allows Alyx as a practitioner to give a unique treatment that best serves each individual. She also uses other modalities within her scope of practice such as cupping, electrical stimulation, moxibustion and Gua Sha to further aid in treating ailments.

Alyx has been working in the healthcare field since 2012. Before she went on to work as an Acupuncturist, she worked at a hospital on Long Island while pursuing her RN degree.  It was during her time at the hospital that she discovered her love for healthcare and caring for others, but found she did not resonate with western medicine and the overuse of prescription drugs. As a result, she started to explore meditation and holistic medicine and discovered Acupuncture as an alternative way to help others.

From Alyx:

Since practicing acupuncture these past several years, I am incredibly grateful I left nursing and pursued Acupuncture. I find treating the body as a whole and addressing the root cause of imbalances is the most effective way to restoring homeostasis and healing the body. It is fascinating to me to watch my clients heal right before my eyes and in such a natural way! I’ve worked in the Glens Falls region for over 5 years now and it’s been a joy to serve this community. I look forward to meeting you and providing a better quality of life!
